Data Interchange - (EDI)
About
On
July 23, 2001, the New York Public Service Commission
issued Opinion 01-03 in Case 98-M-0667, approving
policies and data standards for the implementation
of electronic data interchange (EDI) in New
York. The Commission’s decision, and subsequent
decisions, continues the work of a collaborative
industry effort that began in New York in 1998.
Several other Orders detailing transaction sets
and testing procedures have been issued subsequent
to Opinion 01-03. Detailed information on EDI
standards and protocols in New York is publicly
available on the
Commission’s EDI website.
